In the period of 23-28 April, 2007 in Chisinau, with the support of the Ministry of Information Development, will be hold an important annual event in the field of information society development – “Information Technologies Week in Moldova”.
The goal of this event is to contribute to the promotion of building the information society through the consolidation of state structures possibilities, possibilities of scientific institutions, commercial and non-profit organizations, representatives of international structures, companies investors and civil society.
According to preliminary estimations the Information Technologies Week in Moldova will attract the attention of both Moldovan citizens and foreign guests.
A list of events is scheduled to be realized within the framework of the “Information Technologies Week in Moldova”:
International Conference BIT+ “Information Technologies – 2007”. It became a tradition to hold each year the Conference BIT+ with active support of state bodies and representatives of science Republic of Moldova, with participation of managers of national and international companies, who activate in the field of information and communication technologies. Conference will promote more actively the process of implementation of modern information technologies. The Conference will take place on April 24-26
April 25-28 - XV International Specialized Exhibition «COMINFO Moldova 2007». COMINFO Moldova exhibition is a certain micro model of Moldova information society that unites all of the segments of IT market and its members. The organizers consider that in our country IT market is being developed and created under the influence of this exhibition. Observing how exhibition audience, its preferences are changing we can observe changes in the economic situation in the country as a whole.
The 4th International Information Security Competition "Securitatea Informationala-2007". The main purpose of this competition is the encouragement of scientific activity among students, post-graduate students and young scientists in the field of Information Security and the selection of young specialists for information systems of state and private organizations.
April 25 - The contest "IT-Moldova in the vision of journalist". Considering the significance and popularity it claims to become traditional. Professional journalists, collaborators, and the authors of the articles published in newspapers, magazines, internet-editions, TV and radio broadcasts, are invited to take part in this competition. Competition conditions would be soon displayed at (link) www.mdi.gov.md.
April 26 - Meeting of working groups under the Committee for Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communication on informatization (RCC).
April 27 - National competition for the best web page created in Moldova and for Moldova – “WEBTOP 2006”
The aim of this competition by Soros foundation is to promote Internet use as a business environment and place of on-line operations; environment to promote and to propose ideas, places of free opinions, free exchange of information and knowledge.
April 30 – Ceremony of awarding the winners of the Republican School Olympiad on Informatics. The Olympiad takes place on April 27-29, 2007
